The FreeBSD Foundation is pleased to announce the following changes to its officers on the board of directors following its annual meeting in early June: Justin Gibbs will be taking the position of president following several years as vice president; Sam Leffler will be taking the position of vice president; Deb Goodkin will be continuing as Secretary and Treasurer. Robert Watson has stepped down as president, but will continue as a member of the board of directors, as will Paul Saab and Hiroki Sato.

We had another successful event at BSDCan 2009. We had some interesting discussions on potential projects and fund-raising opportunities. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and “bought” a hat and/or flashlight. We raised over $800 at this event. Find out more in our July newsletter, coming soon.
