FreeBSD Foundation Privacy Policy
We would love to acknowledge everyone who donates to the foundation, but we also would like to respect your privacy. The Foundation will not sell or provide your address, phone number, or email address to anyone outside of the foundation. As we continue to build our e-mail mailing list, we will add new donors to this list, with an option to opt-out in the emails.
If you do not want your name posted on our Donors page, there are different ways to indicate this depending on how you make your donation. Click&Pledge allows you to select “anonymous donation.” PayPal has an “Optional Note” field that allows you to indicate anonymous donation. And, if you write a check, just write anonymous in the memo field.
If you make a credit card donation, you will be asked for a shipping address. Please supply your mailing address in that field. The Foundation is required by law to send letters of acknowledgment for donations, and we need your mailing address to comply with the law.

Email and Mailing List Privacy
The FreeBSD Foundation respects your privacy. We’ll use your e-mail address only when we are confirming your Internet order or notifying you of a change or update to the site, a new product or other news. We assure you, we do not make our email list or mailing list available to other companies.
Secure Online Ordering
All online transactions are handled with industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. When you enter your credit card number and personal information into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet to an encrypted (scrambled) form, and then decoded when it gets to us, thus providing a secure shopping environment.
